Biodiversity and Distribution of Macrofungi in the Uroczysko Święta Nature Reserve
Abstract
This study aimed to examine the biodiversity of macrofungi in the Uroczysko Święta Nature Reserve, with a particular focus on the specific characteristics of Natura 2000 habitats. During the research, 36 species of fungi belonging to 7 orders were inventoried, with Agaricales and Polyporales being the most dominant. Biodiversity indices, such as Margalef and Shannon-Wiener, indicated higher species richness in alder forests compared to mixed wetland forests. The results highlight the importance of protecting alder forests and deadwood in forest ecosystems. A species under partial protection in Poland (Inonotus obliquus) was identified, underlining the significance of further research and monitoring within the reserve.
