The Notecka Forest forms the largest, compact forest complex in the Nizina Wielkopolska (Wielkopolska Lowland). The destruction of most forest stands after the pine beauty moth outbreak in the early 1920s caused many problems that the forest owners had to face for decades. In the period of nearly one hundred years since the outbreak, after the restoration of the forest area, forest managers cultivated and protected tree stands under various economic and social conditions. The foresters did it based on their knowledge and professional experience. In the post-WII period several conferences, meetings and seminars were held on the issues of the Notecka Forest, organized by various institutions. The organization of these conferences was most often associated with breeding and protection problems and the condition of the wood resource base. The aim of this study was to identify these conference within a timeframe and then briefly summarize the presented results.
