MODELING THE STRUCTURE OF SELECTED PINE STANDS IN FOREST DISTRICT SULĘCIN USING THE THEORETICAL DISTRIBUTIONS

Abstract:
The purpose of the study was to approximate the empirical distribution of the breast height diameter, height and crown length using theoretical distributions: normal, log-normal, Weibull, Gaussian mixed and SB Johnson. For the distribution of all features in the stands on the fresh mixed forest habitat and additionally for crown length in the fresh mixed coniferous habitat, the distribution of Gaussian mixed was best matched, in other cases the most accurate approximation of SB Johnson's distribution. The obtained relationships can be helpful in forecasting stand development and economic planning, and in the future as an important step to develop a local model of pine stand growth.
