The study investigated the effects of forest management in the aesthetic value of forest landscape. The effects were measured with the strength of relationship between selected management operations carried out in a specific forest and attributes of the forest landscape, as well as type of the forest enterprise and these attributes. The hypothesis stating that landscape qualities affect recreational usefulness of forest was additionally verified. Aesthetic value of landscape was assessed using the method of evaluating forest landscape from the viewpoint of forest enclosure. A relationship between aesthetic value of forest landscape and type of forest enterprise, management operations as well as recreational usefulness of forest stands were observed. The article distinguishes elements of forest management resulting in higher landscape qualities of forests, which in accordance with the findings, significantly affects usefulness of forest stands for recreation.
