Impact assessment method of soil preparation on density of Scots pine in the Poddębice Forestry District
Abstract
The paper presents the achieved results of the process of natural regeneration of Scots pine on surfaces prepared by help of two types of commonly used plows. The study was conducted in the Forest Division Poddębice, two forest districts Reduchów and Kamionacz. Measurements and observations were made on the transects, set perpendicularly to the sow. The results indicate that the method of soil preparation for natural regeneration of pine affects the numbers and height of seedlings. The analysis of the collected material suggests that the soil preparation double mold board plow LPZ 75 under the natural regeneration of pine gives a better breeding effect (five times more seedlings) than on the surface where the soil was prepared by help of active U 162 plow.
