Silvarum Colendarum Ratio et Industria Lignaria

The aim of the study was to present the differentiation of the forest regeneration costs depending on the felling group and type of forest habitat. Source materials were obtained from 27 forest districts of the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Toruń. The total and unit costs of artificial
regeneration performed on clear cutting area and on complex clearings were analyzed, taking into account 10 types of forest habitat.
As a result of the conducted analyzes, it was found that the total unit costs of forest regeneration as well as the costs of materials and labor were differentiated depending on the group of felling and the type of forest habitat. The cost of forest regeneration per 1 ha of forest area after the use of clear felling was PLN 4 506.16, while after the application of compound felling it was PLN 5 868.65 (an increase by 30%). A higher unit cost of forest regeneration was found for broadleaved habitats (PLN 5,655.45) compared to coniferous habitats (PLN 4,508.63). The difference was 20%.
The highest unit costs of materials and labor for the plots after clear felling were found for the FBF habitat, while in the case of compound felling for the FBF (materials) and FMBF (labor) habitats.
